CHANGING NAME SERVERS

When you establish a web hosting account, the web server automatically creates entries for the domain on our (anonymous) name servers. In order for the site to be viewable by the domain name, the name servers it's delegated to at the registery must be changed these name servers:

When changing the name server settings, some registrar's require both Host Name & IP Address, while others require only the Host Name.

CUSTOMISED NAME SERVERS

We can provide you with your own name servers if you require. There is a £ 20 one-off setup fee. Resellers are responsible for their own name server registration, done through the registrar where the domain name used for name servers is registered.


PROPOGATION DELAY

Allow 2-12 hours before web sites are viewable by domain name, after name server updates have been completed. This is the time required for the information to be passed onto all the different ISP's around UK and the rest of the world.
